Yanks Win In 22 Innings!!


Yankees down by 1 in the 22nd Inning tie the game and go on to win.
56,573 fans watched an exciting game at Petco Park. The New York Yankees topped the Oakland A's by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3. The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. New York ended upwinning it in the 22nd inning. Juan Uribe opened up the inning nicely whenhe lined a one-base hit. David Dejesus came to the plate and delivered abase-hit. Austin Kearns then doubled knocking in a run. Royce Claytonstepped in and he would hit into a fielders choice making New York victoriousto the delight of the the home town crowd. New York managed 15 hits in theirvictory. The win went to Mark Hendrickson(2-1) who allowed 1 run in 3 innings. ScottLinebrink(1-4) suffered the loss in relief. He pitched 5 and 1/3 inningsgiving up 6 hits and 3 walks. The New York ballclub's record now stands at 10-9. With the loss, Oakland hasa record of 6-4 lately, 13-9 overall.
