Troy Glaus had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Anaheim Angels smashed the overmatched
Atlanta Braves, 16 to 1.

Glaus enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in
the 1st inning, stroked a base-hit in the 3rd inning, laced a base-knock in
the 4th inning and doubled which was good for two runs in the 7th inning.
Anaheim provided plenty of action in the 7th inning when they had 8 runs on 9
hits. Atlanta was out-hit by Anaheim, 20 hits to 6.

Seth McClung(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 7 innings. Edwin
Jackson(0-2) was given the loss. He allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 2/3
innings.

'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Glaus said.
'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'

Atlanta Braves won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Kansas City Royals at Jacobs
Field pulling it out in their last at bats, 5 to 4.

Atlanta scored the deciding run in the 9th inning. After an out was recorded,
Ray Durham delivered a single. Ryan Church stepped into the batter's box and
he lined a base-hit. Church took second on the throw. Jason Varitek then
was hit by a pitch. Ian Kinsler followed next and he worked the squeeze play
to perfection making Atlanta the winners and sending the 16,895 fans home
happy. Both teams totaled 6 hits on the afternoon.

The win went to Jeff Bennett(1-1) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Bobby
Jenks(1-1) ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in

One run was the difference at Edison Int'l Field as the Anaheim Angels defeated the Boston Red Sox in 10 innings 5 to 4.


The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Anaheim was victorious in the 10th inning. After two outs Bengie Molina delivered a solo blast resulting in a mighty exciting win for Anaheim and the 34,619 home town fans in attendance.

Ichiro No Longer a Twin



Twins trade Johan Santana,Aubry Huff,Ichiro Suzuki for Alex Gordon,B.J. Upton,Francisco Carmona and Pitt 2009 1st round pick. Ichiro was the 2001 #1 Draft Pick.

Chipper, Sizemore Sent Packing to KC


A deal was finalized this morning sending Chipper Jones, Grady Sizemore, John Lackey and Brian Fuentes to Kansas City. Atlanta acquired Kansas City's 2009 #1 draft pick, SP former #1 pick Jair Jurrjens Willis Harris, Ryan Hanigan and Matt Harrison. The Royals were happy to get the bat of both Jones and Sizemore along with the addition of Fuentes to help the backend of the bullpen. Lackey will provide quality innings in return for the departed Jurrjens.
