Troy Glaus had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Anaheim Angels smashed the overmatched
Atlanta Braves, 16 to 1.
Glaus enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in
the 1st inning, stroked a base-hit in the 3rd inning, laced a base-knock in
the 4th inning and doubled which was good for two runs in the 7th inning.
Anaheim provided plenty of action in the 7th inning when they had 8 runs on 9
hits. Atlanta was out-hit by Anaheim, 20 hits to 6.
Seth McClung(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 7 innings. Edwin
Jackson(0-2) was given the loss. He allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 2/3
innings.
'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Glaus said.
'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
