Darren Dreifort Pitches Unlikely No-Hitter

New York (AP) - San Francisco Giant righthander Darren Dreifort achieved what every pitcher dreams of - pitching a no-hitter at historic Yankee Stadium. The seldom used Giant pitcher kept the high scoring Yankee offense and partisan crowd subdued all evening. Dreifort walked two and struck out eight in his gem. His record improved to 3-0 with a 2.72 ERA for the season.
This is the second no-hitter of the season as the Angels' Jose Contreras pitched one against the Astros back in early April. For a complete list of Millennium League no-hitters, click here.
