Catcher Damian Miller had 2 base hits as the Arizona team rallied impressively
to win in dramatic style over St. Louis Cardinals, 6 to 5.

Arizona had the game winning rally in the 9th inning with 3 runs on 3 hits.
Miller led off and started the rally when he slapped a one-base hit. Ron
Belliard stepped up next and he delivered a base-hit. Richie Sexson then
lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 22nd of the season) giving Arizona the
victory and sending the 45,085 home-town fans home happy. Arizona rapped out
7 hits for the afternoon.

The victory went to Lou Pote(5-0) who went 1/3 of an inning, allowing no runs.
Troy Percival(4-8) was hit with the loss in relief. 'Now there is a lesson
in perseverance for you,' Miller noted. 'It was looking pretty dim there for
a while, but we just kept plugging away and it really paid off in spades! And
it was great to see the crowd go crazy there at the end!'
