Robinson Cano cracked a homer and had 2 RBI at Petco Park where the New York Yankees beat the Minnesota Twins by the score of 4 to 3.
Kyle Kendrick(6-4) had a solid outing for New York. He surrendered 8 hits andno walks in 8 innings and gave up 2 homeruns. Minnesota tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th. Mariano Rivera gained credit for his 12th save. Johan Santana(5-6) was the loser. He pitched 7 innings giving up 7 hits and 2 walks.
