Players of the Block - Block 2

ALEX RODRIGUEZ (SEA) -- AL Batter of the Block
Seattle shortstop Alex Rodriguez earns the 2nd block AL Batter of the Block award. For the block, he led the AL with his 8 home runs and 20 RBI. In addition, he batted .317, scored 16 runs, and reached on based at .456 pace.

VLAD GUERRERO (PHN) -- NL Batter of the Block
Philly slugger Vlad Guerrero had a strong block to earn the honors in the NL. In block 2 he batted an NL leading .472 and also led the league with his 6 home runs. He had an OBP of .525 and SLG of .847 along with 15 RBIs.

JARROD WASHBURN (ANA) -- AL Pitcher of the Block
Anaheim ace Jarrod Washburn went 4-0 block 2 in 5 starts. During that stretch he compiled an ERA of 1.49 and struckout 25. He had 2 complete games and 1 shutout. His performance earns him the AL Pitcher award for the block.

RODRIGO LOPEZ (PHI) -- NL Pitcher of the Block
Rookie starter Rodrigo Lopez was 2-0 with an ERA of 0.75 in block 2. He help Philadelphia with his strong outings, allowing a mere 2 runs in 24 innings of work!
