Richie Sexson hit a grand slam and Cal Eldred mowed down 10 Cleveland batters
as the Arizona ballclub rallied impressively to win in dramatic style over
Cleveland Indians, 8 to 6.

Arizona had the game winning rally in the 9th inning as they scored 4 runs on
3 base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Sexson who made the crowd
come alive when he cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun (his 5th of
the season). Arizona finished with 13 hits while Cleveland ended up with 8.

The winning pitcher was Bob Wickman(1-0) who allowed 1 run in 1 inning. Doug
Creek(0-1) was the loser in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 1 hit without
retiring a batter.
