Randy Johnson dominated striking out 11 Atlanta batters as the Arizona team
topped the Atlanta Braves by a score of 7 to 4 at Jacobs Field.

Johnson(4-0) had a solid outing for Arizona. He went 7 innings surrendering 7
hits and 3 walks. Johnson got relief help from Jose Jimenez who was
excellent in relief and gained credit for his 6th save.

Jon Lieber(1-1) suffered the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 8 and 2/3
innings. Johnson was asked about his big strikeout performance, 'Well, it's
a little odd when you rack up these numbers on the road - instead of cheers
and a running tally in the stands, everything gets real still and quiet.
Just strange - but it's nice to be able to take the crowd out of the game.'
