For the Cardinals, it has been a forgettable season. But, for Ian Kennedy, it has been a memorable one as he pitched a no-hitter. Going into the game, Kennedy was 4-9 with an ERA above 5.00 making him an unlikely pitcher to throw a no-hitter. Although walking five and hitting a batter, Kennedy kept the Yankee batters off balance all night.

For the Cardinals, it has been a forgettable season. But, for Ian Kennedy, it has been a memorable one as he pitched a no-hitter.
