Kansas City delivered all the runs required in the 4th inning when they tallied 3 runs on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Sal Fasano who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he belted a three-run homer (his 5th of the season). Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.

Kansas City's victory went to Chris Capuano(4-2) who went 6 innings, allowing 1 run. Bronson Arroyo(2-2) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 6 innings and surrendered 7 hits and 1 walk.

Center fielder Vernon Wells smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Mike Maroth tossed a complete game as the Toronto ballclub defeated the Kansas City Royals by the score of 6 to 3 at Enron Field.
